Water meters: the facts
Across Southern Tasmania, around 26,000 serviced properties have a water meter while around 70,000 properties do not have one. Southern Water is leading a statewide project called Water Metering Tasmania to install water meters into unmetered properties between now and mid 2012. This will help bring about fairer pricing for water and sewerage services across the state. Once completed, the installation of water meters will enable the introduction of two-part water pricing for all Tasmanians. To find out more, please click the image opposite.
