Land Information Certificate (56ZQ)
Southern Water can provide a Land Information Certificate (56ZQ), for the water and sewerage aspect of a Council 337 certificate, to customers or their solicitor. These certificates are primarily used when purchasing or selling property and provide a report of the water and wastewater infrastructure for that property.
Southern Water will endeavour to complete a 56ZQ request within 14 calendar days. If you require a shorter turn around then this please contact us on 13MYWATER (13 6992). Clause 14 of The Water and Sewerage Industry (General) Regulations 2009 contains the fee for a 56ZQ certificate. The fee for 2011/2012 is $35.00.
Please email the completed form to Southern Water (56zq@southernwatertas.com.au) and follow with a cheque in the mail, or alternatively, send the completed form and cheque to:

Once payment is received Southern Water will complete the certificate and return it to the applicant by email. All application forms should be submitted to Southern Water, along with a copy of the Title Plan if available.
Those clients authorised to request Council 132 and 337 Certificates, are also able to request Water Corporation 56ZQ Certificates via the LIST.
