Changes to your account
Important information about changes to your 2009/2010 water and sewerage account
On 30 November 2009 the State Government announced changes to water and sewerage accounts. These changes included:
- capping the price increase for your total account at 5%,
- amending the instalment dates with the fi nal instalment payment due by 30 June 2010, and
- giving a rebate to those customers who have been charged more than the 5% increase.
If you have paid your annual account in full, we will send you a cheque in February unless the rebate is less than $20, in which case you will receive a reduction on your 2010-11 account.
If you are paying by instalments, please do nothing and we will adjust your future instalment amounts so that you receive the full benefi t by 30 June 2010.
If you are paying by direct debit, please do nothing and we will adjust your amounts and dates to spread your reduced payments out over the period to 30 June 2010.
Some customers may not qualify for a rebate because their account increased by less than 5%.
